Building on the momentum we created last year, we’re proud to share our second annual Sustainability Impact Report. This year’s report offers a transparent look at the progress we’ve made and introduces new priorities that reaffirm our commitment to driving meaningful change across the built environment and beyond.
Planet 2100 remains the central theme of the report. It’s one of our firm’s Ambitions, challenging us to consider how every decision we make today will shape life well into the future. We believe design has a powerful role to play in securing a healthier planet, and this report charts how we’re turning that belief into impact. It also highlights specific areas that demand heightened focus.
A few highlights from this year’s report:
- SRG Partnership, a Pacific Northwest leader in sustainable design, officially joined CannonDesign.
- Metropolis named us Planet Positive Firm of the Year.
- We advanced our impact in urban sustainability by being selected to lead the City of St. Louis’ sustainability plan update.
- We now have 312 and counting LEED-certified projects.
- We expanded our carbon accounting to better track and reduce firm-wide emissions.
- We made progress in bringing building material impacts to the forefront of our design and specification process.
- TIME recognized us as “the design firm making net-zero buildings a reality.”
- We achieved new milestones designing projects embracing mass timber, building electrification and circular economy principles.
