We are proud to share Abbie Clary spoke at TEDxChicago's 2024 flagship event. Abbie's talk united personal experiences, research and empathy to reveal how our own personal stories and journeys are needed to shape better healthcare spaces and experiences.
Abbie shared her family's experience in a vulnerable talk at TEDxChicago's flagship event in September. Drawing from interviews involving hundreds of patients, loved ones, and clinicians from current ongoing projects, she demonstrates how human-centered design can transform healthcare spaces from institutional to empathetic.
Her talk combines her experience as co-director of CannonDesign's global health practice with her own powerful personal narrative to advocate for a fundamental reimagining of healthcare spaces that prioritize human experience in tandem with better operations and facilities.
She is currently working with University of Chicago Medicine, Memorial Sloan Kettering and other healthcare institutions across the country on innovative projects.
