Anne Gibson, IIDA, NCIDQ, LEED AP, NOMA, has been named CannonDesign’s firmwide Interior Design Practice Leader — a newly established role created to build on the momentum of one of our firm’s most successful design practices.

Interior design has long been essential to how we shape environments that support healing, learning, living, discovery and connection. This new role aims to build on and expand the strength of the practice, bringing dedicated leadership to help it grow, evolve and have an even greater impact across every market we serve.

“Interior design is fundamental to the environments we create and how they are experienced by people,” said David Polzin, CannonDesign’s executive director of design. “This new role reflects our belief in the power of thoughtfully conceived interior environments to shape innovation and value for our clients. Anne is exactly the right person to help us take this team and our work to the next level.”

Since joining CannonDesign in 2023, Anne has led interior design on several of the firm’s most meaningful projects, including OhioHealth’s new Comprehensive Women’s Center — a destination hospital setting a new benchmark for women’s healthcare — and the Facility Planning Framework for Hennepin County Healthcare, where she brings a deeply strategic, layered approach to the design process. She has a passion for working across different space types and bringing the kind of interdisciplinary thinking needed to create rich, connected experiences for clients.

Before joining CannonDesign, Anne was a design leader for landmark projects including the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital and worked with organizations such as Cleveland Clinic, Kohler, CBRE and Mass General Brigham. Her designs have earned top industry honors, including an AIA Award for Interior Architecture, Interior Design’s Best of Year Awards and multiple national and local IIDA awards.
