Benjamin Benson, AIA, LEED AP BD+C

Principal, Office Practice Leader Charlotte

Benjamin Benson

Lead by example. Outwork the competition. That’s Ben’s approach to showing up for clients and teams with the focus needed to bring each project’s vision to life.

As leader of our Charlotte office, Ben helps align client goals with the right design team to deliver solutions that strengthen the communities they serve. With more than 30 years of experience, he is known for translating complex goals into functional, adaptable and distinctive spaces while building lasting relationships rooted in trust, collaboration and shared purpose.

Ben guides conversations early in the design process to build consensus and create alignment around each project’s goals. He’s involved from concept through completion, helping teams balance budget, schedule and quality while creating work they are proud to share. His creative process is rooted in curiosity, driving him to unpack each project’s unique context and often draw inspiration from across the arts — including fine art, performance and music — to shape design solutions that feel purposeful and enduring.
