We’re proud to announce the opening of a new office in Minneapolis and an expanded presence in Rochester, Minnesota. This news builds on our firm’s long history of leading the planning, design and activation of some of the state’s most impactful projects.

Located in the heart of downtown at the IDS Center, our new Minneapolis office places us in the center of the city’s dynamic business district and strengthens our ability to serve clients across the Twin Cities. In Rochester, we’re growing our local on-site team to support Mayo Clinic’s Bold. Forward. Unbound. initiative as we continue to lead design for the transformation of its flagship campus in collaboration with Foster + Partners.

In Rochester, we're partnering with Mayo Clinic on the transformation of its flagship campus in collaboration with Foster + Partners.
Minnesota Recreation Center
We led the design of the 160,000-square-foot University Recreation and Wellness Center at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.

For years, we’ve been proud to work alongside some of Minnesota’s top institutions, using design to drive progress and positive change. Current work includes over 2.4 million square feet for Mayo Clinic, designed with Foster + Partners; a new Healthcare Facility Planning Framework with Hennepin County and Hennepin Healthcare to reimagine its downtown Minneapolis campus; and a 175,000-square-foot expansion of CentraCare Plaza in St. Cloud to expand specialty services. Other notable projects include the University Recreation and Wellness Center at the University of Minnesota and M Health Fairview’s Clinics and Surgery Center, among other projects. 

As part of our growth, we plan to add approximately 50 new teammates in Minneapolis and Rochester in 2026.

With our new Minneapolis office, CannonDesign now operates from 19 offices across North America and beyond, along with numerous project site offices, such as our growing presence in Rochester. 

We’re excited about this next chapter in Minnesota, and we couldn’t be happier to call the state home.
