Care Now: Building Ukraine's first new hospital in wartime

Ukraine Childrens Hospital15

In June 2026, Sunflower Network led an international coalition to open Ukraine's first new hospital since Russia's 2022 full-scale invasion, a $10M pediatric facility in Brody.

Partnering with Brody Central District Hospital, the coalition delivered a state-of-the-art center using prefabricated modular technology and trauma-informed design, now serving 120,000 patients across Western Ukraine. What began as one hospital is now proof of concept for the world: a faster, more scalable blueprint for rebuilding infrastructure wherever war or disaster has torn it down. Brody is just the beginning.

A New Playbook: Place as TCU's strategic advantage

Tcu Sxsw2027

Education needs a new playbook. Institutions are constantly trying to distinguish themselves using the same tactics – improved rankings, financial aid, a never-ending amenities race. The same strategies lead to the same results and make durable differentiation impossible.

TCU chose a different path. Amidst economic uncertainty, rapid tech change and a shrinking student pool, TCU has prioritized its physical campus to create a distinguished culture and student offering. This fireside chat dives into the strategy fueling this generational investment and the positive outcomes it yields.

Beautiful Complexity: We were never average

Abbie Clary

No one lives an average life. We each carry many identities at once — leader, parent, worker, caregiver — shifting by the moment. Yet the products, systems, and AI shaping our world were built for a simplified human who has never existed, and that assumption is now being trained into our technology at scale.

What if complexity isn't noise to remove, but the most valuable signal we have? The people who carry the most reveal what every system misses. This panel explores why designing for whole, complicated lives, not the average, is the next frontier of technology, business, health, and society.
